Description/Purpose
This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to change the MCCSC domain account password on a MacBook (MacOS). You must be on-campus to complete the steps below.

Explanation/Steps
Note: If you have already changed your password on a Windows device, you may skip to Step 3.
You will now begin receiving password expiration notifications on your MacBook. You will no longer need to change your password on a Windows computer. If your MacBook was not refreshed in 2023, please see this article.
Step 1
You can now change your password by clicking on the message or clicking on the Key icon in the menu bar and choose Change Password. This will also let you know how many days until your password expires.
Step 2
Enter Old(Current) Password.
Enter new password and verify (Password Criteria - at least 15 characters, upper and lower case letters, number and a special character such as $ or &.)
Click Change Password.
Step 3
You will now need to sync your new Active directory password with your existing (old) MacBook password.
Step 4
Password Change Successful: Your AD password and Mac Login are now in sync. You can now begin logging into your MacBook with your new password.
