This article provides instruction on how to perform a password change on a Windows/PC device. There is a separate article containing instructions on how to perform this on a MacBook.
Explanation
Information on password reset for Windows desktop or laptop users. iPad only users will need to change their password on either a Windows or Mac desktop computer. This will not work on wireless network.
Your network password is used for accessing services including those listed below.
Note: This password will NOT change your Google password. That is a separate service.

Steps

Ensure your device is connected to the MCCSC network.

Log out of your account or restart your machine.

Log in with your current username and password.
- Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del on the keyboard.
- Select Change a Password.

- The username field should already be populated. In the "Old password" field, enter current password or temporary password given by IS Department staff member. In the "New password" field, enter a new password using the security requirements below. In the third field confirm the new password.
- Note: MCCSC passwords require specific security requirements. All passwords must be a minimum of 15 characters, have a Upper and Lower case letter, as well as number and special character. Password history is also now enforced. This means if you change your password in the future, you will be unable to repeat use of an old password.
- Wait for at least 30 minutes before logging into Office 365 Applications or email.

Once the password has been successfully change, you will receive a message that "your password has been changed".

Click OK and continue to log on.
