Description/Purpose
Clocking in for Support Staff as well as Time-Off for all staff is now entered into the True Time system inside Skyward Employee Access. This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to clock in and request time off. A video tutorial is available at the bottom of the article. Explanation/Steps
Accessing Skyward True Time
Go to www.mccsc.edu.
From the Resources tab, open the Employees dropdown and select Employee Access.
Log in to Skyward Employee Access and make sure you are in the Employee Access Area.
Clocking your Time
There are two ways to Clock Time. Either Click on the Clock Icon or True Time -> Quick Entry:
Clocking In/Clocking Out/Lunch
When you are in for the day, click “IN”. Note, you will need to select the appropriate paycode as applicable to how you are clocking on that day.
Note, When you clock in, your current code is displayed as well as your starting time of the day. All other pertinent information relating to you and your time is displayed at the top of the screen.
If you so choose, you can leave a note for your supervisor by clicking on “Edit Notes”.
If your screen has “stalled”, click “refresh” at the top right to see your most current time situation.
If leaving for a break, Click “Break”.
Note, that when returning from a break, you will need to click back on the “in” button in order to clock back in. Note that when doing so, it will automatically clock you back into the Pay Code last clocked.
If clocking out of one code and into another, click on “Change Job”. All available codes will display:
Highlight your desired code and click “Select”. You should now see you are clocked into a new code.
To finish your day, click on “Gone for the Day”. Note if you clicked this in error, you can still clock back in by reselecting “In” and picking your desired job code.
Viewing Historical Time/Future Time & Submitting your Time Sheets
At any point you can toggle through your days to see your history worked or view any time off requests. Alternatively, you can click on the calendar icon to view any date desired.
To view your time sheets, either current or historical, click on “View/Submit Time Sheets”.
From this screen you will be able to either view previous time sheets or submit current time sheets. All time sheets should be submitted by the end of a week. Once completed, these will go to supervisors for approval.
You can view/print time sheets by clicking on view. From here you can see all detail for the week and print as desired.
If you have questions, you should be asking your administrative assistant/supervisor for assistance.
Submitting Time Off Requests
To submit requests for Time Off, you must visit the Time Off Tab and select “My Requests”.
From here, you will add a request by selecting “Add”:
At the top of the screen you should see the time available to you in every applicable category.
***Note, Skyward will not let you submit a time off request if you do not have time available***
Please select your time off code/reason, add a description if desired, and select the time for which you will be requesting. When you are finished, select “Save”.
You will see your request appearing on the screen along with the current status and if it is awaiting approval:
Should you need to edit/delete/clone/or attach a file to your request, use any of those options located to the right:
Note that your request will show up on the date requested in True Time as code “TOF”. Should this be approved by a supervisor, it will display the code (VAC, SIC, etc.) for which you are clocked on that day.
