Description
MCCSC restricts applications that may be installed on corporation owned devices. Any app requiring administrative rights to install may not be installed by employees outside of the IS Department. Additionally, application review is required and additional setup work to allow installation from the Filewave Kiosk (red flag in taskbar). Kiosk enabled installs use a system installation that does not require the end user to be a machine administrator. Most applications not found in the app kiosk do require system administrator for installation. If the application does require it, however, the app must first be approved and an installation package must be created. This list is heavily restricted. Most requests will be denied unless the application is an essential function for all or most Mac users. Other articles that may help are: Filewave App Portal & MCCSC Kiosk, Downloading Applications - Filewave Kiosk, and MacOS - Installing Applications from App Kiosk.
