Directions on how to report a lost or stolen device.
Steps
Missing iPad (temporary unknown location) Day count?
- Contact building tech to try to locate last known location.
- On-premises
- Tech will use tools available to locate device in building.
- If last known location is within the building but cannot be found that day, Tech will provide a temporary shared iPad for daily use.
- Off-premises
- Building Admin contact parent/guardian to help locate iPad.
- Tech will provide a temporary shared iPad for daily use until found.
- Building Admin to communicate to tech the response from parent/guardian.
- On-premises
Lost iPad
- If missing iPad is not located within five school days, it will be determined permanently lost by student.
- Tech will issue a replacement iPad to student and recover the shared iPad.
- Tech will generate an invoice for replacement cost of lost iPad and will give invoice to office to send to parent/guardian.
Stolen iPad
- Building Admin communicated to parent/guardian to file a police report and submit to Information Services.
- Tech will issue a replacement iPad to student and recover the shared iPad if one was provided.
- Tech will generate an invoice for replacement cost of stolen iPad and will give invoice to office to send to parent/guardian.
